Jon Stewart sent a mocking message John Kerry’s way, poking fun at the secretary of state’s recent trip to France and bemoaning the Kumbaya atmosphere he created with crooner James Taylor.

Mr. Stewart first seemed to suggest that Mr. Kerry was the perfect candidate to go to Paris to show America’s support for the nation against the Charlie Hebdo terror attacks, given his love of France and his ability to put on a “charm offensive,” Mediaite reported.

But then he played video footage of Mr. Taylor’s performance of “You’ve Got a Friend” and the hug with President Francois Hollande.

Mr. Stewart dropped his head into his hands and asked, The Blaze reported: “Are you trying to get us in a war, is that what this is? James Taylor singing, ’You’ve Got a Friend!’ “
