Hollywood leftist filmmaker Michael Moore took to Twitter to air his views on snipers — whom he referred to as “cowards,” not heroes — in seeming reference to the blockbuster release of “American Sniper,” the movie about Navy SEAL Chris Kyle.

Mr. Moore wrote: “My uncle killed by sniper in WW2. We were taught snipers were cowards. Will shoot u in the back. Snipers aren’t heroes. And invaders r worse,” the Daily Mail reported.

Mr. Moore sent out the messages the day after “American Sniper” hit theaters.

Kyle was the most lethal sniper in U.S. military history, credited with saving untold numbers of American lives during his four tours of Iraq. Kyle was shot and killed in 2013 while trying to assist a fellow soldier who was suffering from post-traumatic stress.
