Alfonse D’Amato, a former U.S. senator, issued a sharp rebuke to President Obama over his ongoing threats to veto Republican-sponsored legislation, saying the White House chief was throwing his “manhood” around and should stop.

“I would hope that the president would stop trying to show his manhood by threatening vetoes by … taking executive action and passing legislation, which is probably the domain of Congress,” Mr. D’Amato said, during an interview with John Catsimatidis on 970-AM radio.

The Republican then went on to lambast former U.S. envoy to Iraq, Paul Bremer, calling him a “jackass” whose botched transfer of power helped give rise to Islamic terrorists, the New York Post reported.
