Police are searching for Dalton Hayes, an 18-year-old Kentucky man, and Cheyenne Phillips, his 13-year-old girlfriend, on suspicions they’ve committed a couple of crimes through several states — the start of what some worry may lead them to become a sort of Bonnie and Clyde duo.
“It is imperative that these two be located and apprehended as their behavior is becoming increasingly brazen and dangerous,” said the Grayson County Sheriff’s Office in a statement reported by NBC News.
The two are accused of stealing a neighbor’s red pickup truck and another truck in Georgia, which had .45-caliber and .38-caliber guns in the back seat.
“We’re hoping the two of them have enough sense not to do something with that gun and hoping it never comes to that,” Grayson County Sheriff Norman Chaffins said, NBC News reported.
