President Obama and British Prime Minister David Cameron had a working dinner at the White House on Thursday night, and the two leaders will hold a joint press conference Friday afternoon.

Mr. Obama and Mr. Cameron were expected to discuss the recent Paris terrorist attacks, the fight against the Islamic State, Iran’s nuclear program and a number of other international issues.

At the dinner, the two men dined on a pickled wild mushroom and heirloom tomato salad, herb-crusted lamb and roasted artichokes and warm pear cake, coffee ice cream and caramel popcorn for dessert, according to the White House.

Mr. Obama and Mr. Cameron also penned a joint op-ed Thursday in The Times. They reiterated the strong friendship between Britain the the U.S. and the need to fight terrorism.

“And as we were reminded so tragically again in Paris last week, terrorism, conflict and instability threaten the values that define us as free peoples,” they said. “Today we recommit ourselves to our enduring mission: protecting our peoples, safeguarding our economies and defending our values. Once more, Britain and America stand together. Once more, we need strong and determined leadership to meet the challenges of our time.”
