British Prime Minister David Cameron will visit Washington later this week for a series of meetings with President Obama, the White House announced over the weekend.
Mr. Cameron and Mr. Obama will have dinner Thursday night and will meet in the Oval Office on Friday. Administration officials say the meetings will focus on economic growth, trade, terrorism, Ebola and other issues.
“The United Kingdom is an uniquely close friend and steadfast ally, and the president looks forward to beginning the new year by working with Prime Minister Cameron on these issues and reaffirming the enduring special relationship between the United States and the United Kingdom,” White House press secretary Josh Earnest said in a statement.
