New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie is scheduled to be back in Iowa Monday as the first headline speaker of the Dallas County GOP’s Spring Speaker Series.

Mr. Christie also spoke at GOP Rep. Steve King’s “Iowa Freedom Summit” last month.

He was running near the back of the pack in a recent Des Moines Register/Bloomberg Politics poll of likely 2016 GOP caucus-goers, but the early visits could indicate that Mr. Christie isn’t about to concede the state if he does run for president.

“I’ve been to Iowa 11 times in the last five years,” Mr. Christie said last month. “Now let me ask you this: if I was too blunt, too direct, too loud and too New Jersey for Iowa, then why do you people keep inviting me back?”
