New England Patriots’ star quarterback Tom Brady may have won big in the Super Bowl, but as far as taxes go, he’s come up the $60,000-plus loser.

Americans for Tax Reform estimates that his win over the Seattle Seahawks has left Brady with $13,500 in owed taxes for the 2015 Chevy Colorado truck he was subsequently gifted as the game’s MVP.

Brady is reportedly giving the truck to defensive back Malcolm Butler, the rookie whose last-minute interception clinched the game for the Pats. And that transfer of ownership carries a $5,000 federal gift tax, according to ATR.

But that’s not all.

Brady received a game check of $97,000, an NFL salary gift that all his teammates got, CNBC reported. For that, he’s due to pay $42,000 in federal taxes, ATR found.
