The U.S. Concealed Carry Association reported that the NFL repeatedly rejected a firearms safety print ad the group wanted to run in the Super Bowl program, and now one member — Kevin Michalowski, who edits Concealed Carry Magazine — is crying censorship.

The ad shows a man with his kids and the text: “Are You Doing Everything in Your Power to Keep Your Loved Ones Safe? 18 Proven Strategies for Protecting Your Family,” with the accompanying www.DefendThemNow link, The Blaze reported.

Concealed Carry Association is billing it now as the “ad the NFL did not want you to see,” because of its repeated rejection “without comment,” The Blaze reported. And Mr. Michalowski finds the NFL guilty of censorship.

“Apparently, the NFL doesn’t want to be associated with something like effective firearms safety training,” he said, in the latest video episode of “Into the Fray,” The Blaze reported. “The NFL is, of course, associated with things like child abuse, domestic abuse, dog fighting, drug abuse, drunk driving and up to and including murder.”

But firearms safety?

“The NFL doesn’t want to have anything to with effective firearms training provided by the United States Concealed Carry Association,” he said, The Blaze reported. “That’s what we do. We educate, train and ensure responsibly armed Americans. Apparently, non of those people are in the NFL.”

The video spot opens with the title: “NFL Censorship: The Ad They DIDN’T Want You to See!”

Last year, the NFL rejected an ad by Daniel Defense that showed a man defining his family — and that didn’t even include a gun, The Blaze reported.
