Potential presidential candidate and former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee said he’s not speaking at CPAC this year — and instead, will be going to the National Religious Broadcasters Convention in Nashville.

Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker spoke at the venue on Monday.

This year’s Conservative Political Action Conference kicks off Thursday in National Harbor, Md., just outside Washington.

Mr. Huckabee wasn’t named as part of the early lineup of speakers at the conservative confab.

But his staff made it clear on Tuesday that Mr. Huckabee was not attending, when they released a schedule of his travels and planned stops — and among, were visits to Tennessee and South Carolina on Thursday and Friday, Newsmax reported.

Mr. Huckabee has given speeches at CPAC in the past, but in 2010, he remarked that the convention may be losing steam to the tea party movement, The Hill reported.
