Eleven Wesleyan University students were sent to the hospital for treatment of suspected drug overdoses, and authorities say they’re pretty sure “Molly,” or MDMA, was to blame.

A spokeswoman for the school confirmed that seven students were transported for treatment, while another four walked to the hospital on their own, NBC News reported.

“Initial indication in all of these cases is that the students took Molly (MDMA),” Dean Michael Whaley, vice president of student affairs, said in a letter to the school community. “Some of the students are in serious/critical condition.”

A Wesleyan sophomore still in critical condition on Monday was the first taken to Middlesex Hospital early Sunday morning, a victim of an “apparent overdose,” Mr. Whaley wrote.

Police are investigating. Wesleyan is located in Middletown, Connecticut.
