RICHMOND — T.J. Cline scored 16 points and ShawnDre’ Jones added 14 to help Richmond beat George Washington, 56-48, on Saturday.

Terry Allen had 12 points and 10 rebounds for Richmond (15-12, 8-6 Atlantic 10). Allen and Cline had four steals each as the Spiders forced the Colonials into 14 turnovers.

Kethan Savage led George Washington (17-10, 7-7 Atlantic 10) with 18 points and Kevin Larsen added 16. The Colonials have dropped four in a row and six of their last seven.

Richmond led by as many as 11 points in the second half after Kendall Anthony’s 3-pointer with 12:57 left.

Savage’s basket with 2:23 left got George Washington within 50-46, but the Colonials wouldn’t hit another field goal and Richmond made all four free throws in the final minute.

Cline made four of Richmond’s six 3-pointers and Jones scored six points in the final three minutes.
