Ricardo Medina Jr., the 36-year-old former star of the “Power Rangers” television series, was arrested and jailed on suspicion of killing his roommate with a sword.

He’s being held on $1 million bail in connection with the stabbing death of Joshua Sutter, 36, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s officials said, Fox News reported. The two shared an apartment in Palmdale, Calif.

Deputy Juanita Navarro-Suarez said that the two men argued, then Mr. Medina went into his bedroom with his girlfriend and locked the door, Fox News reported.

Sutter then reportedly forced open the door. Mr. Medina is accused of  grabbing his sword and stabbing Sutter him in the abdomen, Ms. Navarro-Suarez said, Fox News reported.

Mr. Medina then called 911 and waited for emergency responders. He’s due to appear in court in Lancaster, California, on Tuesday, Fox News said.

Mr. Medina played the Red Lion Wild Force Ranger in the “Power Rangers Wild Force” television series in 2002.
