The United Kingdom released images Wednesday of Russian SA-22 surface-to-air missile systems that have been spotted in Ukraine.
The U.K. Joint Delegation to NATO tweeted the photos Wednesday, adding that the artillery systems were “more proof of direct Russian military involvement in the conflict.”
Adam Thomson, British ambassador to NATO, implored Russia to live up to its truce agreements.
“We call on Russia to fully implement its Minsk commitments,” Mr. Thomson tweeted.
NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg said Wednesday that “Russian forces, artillery and air defense units as well as command and control elements are still active in Ukraine,” Reuters reported.
Russia denies any military involvement with pro-Russian separatists in the region.
