Two terror suspects once held at secret CIA sites in will receive $262,000 from the Polish government.

Abd al-Rahim al-Nashiri and Abu Zubaydah allege that they were tortured by their U.S. captors at secret Polish prisons run from 2002 to 2003. After a ruling by the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg, France, Poland’s Foreign Minister Grzegorz Schetyna confirmed that compensation would be forthcoming.

“We will abide by this ruling because we are a law-abiding country. It is a question of the coming weeks, a month,” Mr. Schetyna said Wednesday, The Associated Press reported.

Poland had appealed an earlier ruling by the court in July, saying that the decision could influence it own internal investigation.

The next logistical hurdle for Poland will be to figure out how to disperse payments to the terror suspects; both men are being held in Guantanamo Bay detention center, Cuba, AP reported.
