Osama bin Laden required his followers to sign an oath of allegiance — Mafia-style — to him and his terror network, according to documents found in his hideout house and recently released in court.
The documents came to light during the court trial of Abid Naseer, a Pakistani accused of being an al Qaeda operative and planning to bomb the New York City subway system, the New York Post reported.
Prosecutors read portions of the oath in court: “I accept your allegiance on behalf of Sheik Usama. And to follow whomever Sheik Usama assigns to be my Amir on the jihad for the sake of God.”
Prosecutors want the oath to be allowed as evidence into the trial.
