Attorney General Eric Holder said Tuesday that a Texas court’s injunction against President Obama’s immigration executive actions was an “interim step” in the ongoing debate.
The final decision is likely to be made by a higher court, Mr. Holder told an audience at the National Press Club.
“I think it has to be seen in that context,” Mr. Holder said. “It is a decision by one federal court judge.”
Mr. Holder said the administration was “still in the process of looking at the opinion and deciding what steps to take next.”
