Chris Matthews, host of “Hardball” on MSNBC, said the recent Islamic State beheadings of 21 Coptic Christians from Egypt is the latest in a line of terrorist assaults that have left America in a state of humiliation.

Specifically, he said America was being “morally humiliated” by the terror group and that the nation should act in response to the beheadings, Mediaite reported.

Doing nothing is hardly an option, he said.

“The alternative is too sick, too un-American, too inhuman,” Mr. Matthews said. “[And we can’t] act like America … is not being morally humiliated, because it is.”
