Sen. Rand Paul said the best way to fix problems with the Internal Revenue Service is to simply scrap the tax code and start from the beginning.

“The IRS is too big, too powerful, and we absolutely should scrap the code,” Mr. Paul said during a question-answer session on Facebook, The Hill reported.

The Kentucky senator suggested he wasn’t simply throwing out an opinion.

“Look for my tax plan later this spring,” Mr. Paul said, The Hill reported.
