Boko Haram terrorists crossed a lake by motorboat and touched down in Chad, attacking a village overnight and killing several.

This is the first time Boko Haram’s carried out an attack on Chad grounds, security insiders told BBC.

Government troops managed to push back the terrorist fighters, but several homes — mostly made of straw — were set on fire and destroyed in the process, BBC said.

It’s not clear how many were killed. But Chadian authorities sent military aircraft to the scene to take out the Boko Haram boats, Agence France-Presse said.
