A massive pileup on a well-traveled road near South Korea’s Incheon International Airport that involved an estimated 100 vehicles has left at least two dead and 68 injured.

The road conditions were foggy and icy Wednesday, and investigators believe that contributed to the collisions, The Associated Press reported.

Some of the injured were in serious condition, said Byeon Tae-u with the Incheon Fire and Safety Management Department, AP reported. And at least 18 were identified as foreigners — seven Chinese, three Thai nationals and several from the Philippines and Vietnam.

“I saw the brake lights of the car in front of me turn on, and I stopped abruptly,” said Lee Gyeong-hoon, 39, whose car was then hit from behind, AP said.
