British Prime Minister David Cameron’s slang has been taking the United Kingdom by storm — a mocking, smirking, cringing storm.
Just a few days ago, he joked about a telephone ringtone that interrupted Cabinet proceedings. The Telegraph reported that Mr. Cameron was then asked if the disruptive ringtone was a song from Beyonce, and he replied: No, it was more like a song “from the chillax playlist on Spotify,” The Telegraph reported.
Mr. Cameron then reportedly sought “a chatartama about this” with a special adviser, BuzzFeed reported.
One newspaper, The Times, picked up on the lingo, with a story, “Just a little chaterama with the chillaxed PM.” And the introduction read: “David Cameron has underlined his reputation in Whitehall as the most laid-back prime minister of modern times by summoning officials for a ’chaterama’ about key policies. He is already regarded as the ’chillaxing’ prime minister,” the newspaper reported.
Social media users are poking fun.
One wrote, BuzzFeed reported: “Amazing David Cameron #AccidentalPartridge revealed by @IsabelHardman: ’Chatarama!’ “
