Organizers announced Monday evening that New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie will join a host of other potential 2016 GOP hopefuls at the Iowa Agriculture Summit March 7 hosted by entrepreneur and philanthropist Bruce Rastetter.

Others who have confirmed include former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas, former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, former Gov. Rick Perry of Texas, Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida, former Sen. Rick Santorum of Pennsylvania and Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker.

Each speaker will get time with Mr. Rastetter to talk about on issues facing agribusiness and farmers.

Speaking at a local GOP event Monday in Iowa, Mr. Christie took aim at President Obama’s handling of terrorism, saying Mr. Obama “appears to be a man in a dark room struggling up against the wall looking for the light switch of leadership,” CNN reported.
