French authorities foiled a planned terror attack meant to target police and military in the city of Orleans, south of Paris, the French interior minister revealed Tuesday.
Two men, ages 20 and 24, had been in contact with a French man in Syria who is believed to be the chief planner of the attack, French Interior Minister Bernard Cazeneuve said, Fox News reported.
Officials arrested the men Saturday. This is the tenth planned terror attack French authorities have thwarted this year, Mr. Cazeneuve said.
France remains on high alert following a spate of terror attacks in Paris in November that left 130 people dead and hundreds more wounded.
The city of Orleans is roughly 75 miles south of Paris.
