D’Vauntes Smith-Rivera made five 3-pointers and scored 30 points to help Georgetown beat Maryland-Eastern Shore, 68-49, on Tuesday night.

Tre Campbell hit a 3-pointer midway through the second half to extend Georgetown’s lead to 46-25. UMES responded with a 12-2 run, led by Devin Martin’s five points, to pull within 48-37, but Campbell made four consecutive free throws in a 10-2 spurt to regain a 19-point lead.

Bradley Hayes had 11 points and nine rebounds for Georgetown (3-3).

Smith-Rivera, who has 1,480 career points and moved into 16th place on the Hoyas’ all-time list, scored 17 points in the first half, including all five of his 3-pointers, as Georgetown held a 38-20 lead at the break. He hit back-to-back 3-pointers in the final two minutes to spark the Hoyas on an 8-0 run before halftime.

Ryan Andino made four 3-pointers and scored 16 points to lead Maryland-Eastern Shore (1-5). Martin added 12 points and Dominique Elliott had 11.
