Washington Redskins wide receiver DeSean Jackson and defensive end Jason Hatcher both returned to practice on Thursday after sitting out on Wednesday.

Jackson and Hatcher were both limited. Jackson bruised his left knee against the Chicago Bears and Hatcher played through a pinched nerve last Sunday.

“We’re obviously hopeful with Hatcher and DeSean,” coach Jay Gruden said. “DeSean ran around pretty good today individual [drills], did a couple of team reps.”

Wide receiver Andre Roberts did not practice on Thursday because of a knee injury. Roberts has been inactive the last two games, but was a limited participant on Wednesday. Gruden said the wide receiver did not practice on Thursday because of a potential meniscus injury.

“We’re just trying to see if he can finish the season with it or if he has to go have surgery,” Gruden said. “He’s just been a little sore. It’s something that he may be able to play with. I think the decision will come with him, whether or not he needs to decide on getting the surgery or not.”

Gruden also said that Roberts had an MRI examination already and the team doctors are reviewing the results.

Strong safety Jeron Johnson (hamstring), inside linebacker Keenan Robinson (shoulder) and running back Chris Thompson were all limited.

Thompson, who tore the labrum in his left shoulder two weeks ago against the Dallas Cowboys, practiced for the second consecutive day. Gruden said his status for Sunday’s game against the Buffalo Bills is still uncertain.
