ASHBURN — Washington Redskins running back Chris Thompson has been ruled out for Sunday’s game against the Chicago Bears after sustaining a torn labrum in his left shoulder on Monday against the Dallas Cowboys.

Inside linebacker Perry Riley, who had surgery last week to repair a broken bone in his right foot, and strong safety Jeron Johnson (hamstring) are both out.

Defensive end Jason Hatcher, tight end Derek Carrier, wide receiver Andre Roberts (knee) and inside linebacker Keenan Robinson (shoulder) are all listed as questionable.

Hatcher returned to practice on Friday and was optimistic about his status for Sunday. He pinched a nerve in his neck that is causing weakness in his left arm, but said the team has a limited game plan in place for him on Sunday to optimize his efficiency.

“I’m good man, feeling pretty good,” Hatcher said. “Taking it day to day. I plan on playing this weekend, they have a game plan for me so I won’t be beat up too much. I’m not 100 percent, but I’m going to go out and give what I got for my team. My arm is not 100 percent strength-wise, but I’m good enough right now.

“It’s not where I want it to be, but it’s something I’ve gotta deal with and play through it. It’s who I am, I love playing for my guys. A lot of the guys were like, ’It’s just your presence out there.’ I’m at a point I’m feeling OK, I can weather the storm and impact as much as I can.”

The 10-year veteran played with the same injury during in 2013 and missed just one game that season for the Cowboys.

Gruden also said he felt optimistic about Carrier, who was inactive against Dallas on Monday because of a high left ankle Achilles’ sprain.

“It’s just a matter of — with the injury that he has — making sure nothing happened out there today and he’ll get some treatment and see how he’s feeling tomorrow,” Gruden said. “But I think it’s looking positive for Derek.”
