Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump said Wednesday that he has spoken with Fox News Chairman & CEO Roger Ailes and that he has “no problem,” saying he actually enjoyed host Megyn Kelly’s show Tuesday night.

“Actually, I watched her show last night. She was very nice, and I appreciated it,” Mr. Trump said on radio host Laura Ingraham’s show.

Asked if he was going to keep sharing comments on Twitter like “the bimbo back in town,” Mr. Trump said, “No, I have much bigger things to think about, honestly.”

“I mean, they made a big deal out of that, and I just don’t see it,” he said. “That was a retweet.”

Mr. Trump said he has a lot of other things he wants to get out there, such as that “China is just absolutely destroying us,” a development he said he predicted years ago.

“Roger Ailes is great. Roger Ailes is a special guy, he’s a good friend of mine, and we just spoke two minutes ago,” Mr. Trump said. “I mean, Roger Ailes is a great guy, and no, I have no problem. And I actually liked her show very much last night, if you want to know the truth.”

On Tuesday, Mr. Ailes had called on Mr. Trump to apologize for his latest attacks on Ms. Kelly. Speaking to reporters in Iowa Tuesday, Mr. Trump said it was Ms. Kelly who owed him an apology for treating him unfairly in the Aug. 6 GOP presidential debate.

“It’s a very small element in my life, Megyn Kelly. I don’t care about Megyn Kelly, but no, I would not apologize,” Mr. Trump said Tuesday. “She should probably apologize to me, but I just don’t care.”
