Front-running Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump says he has sworn off Oreos now that Nabisco is ramping up operations in Mexico.

Speaking to a packed Alabama stadium on Friday, the billionaire business magnate blasted Nabisco’s move.

“I love Oreos. I will never eat them again,” Mr. Trump said, Mediaite reported. “Nabisco closes the plant in Chicago, and they are moving the plant to Mexico. Why?”

The company behind iconic treats like Oreos and Chips Ahoy! recently announced significant investment in a Salinas, Mexico baking plant. The move affects 600 jobs at a bakery near Chicago, though Nabisco says that facility would remain open.

Mr. Trump, meanwhile, insisted “Mexico is the new China,” saying businesses who move across the border will be faced with the same tariffs and restrictions that China imposes on companies like Boeing.

“I don’t blame China, I respect them. I’m not angry at them, I’m angry at our leaders for being so stupid,” Mr. Trump said.
