Everyone knows that password security is important, but a lot of people are still using “123456” to log into their Facebook, email and bank accounts.

Passwords need to be hard to guess and use a combination of letters, numbers and symbols, according to a report from Splashdata, which compiled a list of the worst passwords of 2014.

When you are picking your passwords make sure they don’t include your favorite sports or athletic team since these are among the 100 most common passwords.

Try to avoid personal information, like your name, your children’s name, birth dates or birth years.

“Trustno1” is also a pretty common password. So trust us, and change your password.

While some of the most common, and thus worst, passwords aren’t surprising.

Avoid using these top 21 most common passwords compiled by Splashdata to be extra protected.
