Should he win the 2016 election, business mogul and conservative firebrand Donald Trump already has one hopeful ready to take over his Homeland Security department — conservative TV and radio host Ann Coulter.
“I would like to be the head of Donald Trump’s Homeland Security,” Ms. Coulter said speaking at the Eagle Forum’s Collegian Summit last week in Washington D.C., Mediaite reported Friday.
“I could get it all done before breakfast,” Ms. Coulter said, adding that she was only “slightly joking” because she doesn’t think “it’s that hard to figure out.”
“I could kind of guess who the criminals are gong to be at least 50 percent of the time,” referring to criminals crossing the southern border, Mediaite reported.
Ms. Coulter’s platform for securing the homeland would include a return to the olden days of Ellis Island, when incoming immigrants had to “prove” their “heartiness” to the United States.
“There was no pussyfooting around,” she said, Mediaite reported. “We’re assimilating you, you’re here, and you’re going to be an American. There will be no celebration of Cinco de Mayo, there will be no Ramadan, in fact there won’t even be a Feast of the Immaculate Conception — we are an Anglo-Protestant country, and you will learn about the Battle of Valley Forge.”
