Aides to Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe found a drone with radioactive material on the roof of his office Wednesday.
Mr. Abe’s staff found a plastic bottle with cesium, although the traces present were eventually determined to not be dangerous to humans, CNN reported.
Tokyo Metropolitan Police said the drone was 50 centimeters wide, had four propellers, and was equipped with a camera, CNN reported. Two smoke flares were also attached to the aircraft.
The prime minister was away at a conference in Indonesia at the time of the discovery.
