It may not fit in with his presidential campaign plans, but you never know. Sen. Rand Paul is now the subject of a biographical comic book, done up in in graphic novel style, and billing him as a “political powerhouse” and the “intellectual godfather of the tea party.

As part of their political power series, the company has already done the comic book treatment on President Obama, Mitt Romney, Sarah Palin and many more. Other presidential hopefuls are on the slate of upcoming titles, including Sens. Marco Rubio and Elizabeth Warren, Jeb Bush and an updated look at Hillary Clinton.

“Our politicians are constantly inventing fresh new ways to shock, bewilder, confuse, and sometimes even inspire us,” says Joe Paradise, the graphic designer and artist behind it all.

“Paul is a fascinating figure. As a writer, I always want to craft stories about people who hold strong convictions. His ties to family give readers a glimpse at his character, and his often-controversial stances make him an interesting person to depict in graphic format,” says Michael Frizell, who wrote the text.

“A good chunk of the events in the stories depicted in the comic book are documented and easy to reference. The real fun for me is researching and imagining what the events behind the scenes looked like,” he adds.

Print copies of Political Power: Rand Paul from Bluewater Comics are $4 and can be ordered at Comic Flea Market via their website.
