Kai Forbath signed his restricted free agent tender from the Washington Redskins late Wednesday night, returning to the team on a one-year deal that will pay him $1.54 million in 2015.
Forbath, who posted photos of the signing on his social media accounts, made 24 of 27 field goals for the Redskins last season, his third with the team.
He made 15 of his first 16 field goal attempts, then finished his season by making each of his last nine, finishing with the third-highest field goal conversion percentage in team history — a record he already held owing to his first season in Washington.
The Redskins extended the contract offer in February, allowing them the ability to match any contract offer Forbath could have received had he accepted one from another team.
