Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid, Nevada Democrat, apparently doesn’t think much of the prospective 2016 GOP presidential field, saying that “they’re all losers.”

Asked by CNBC’s John Harwood who the 2016 Republican presidential nominee is likely to be, Mr. Reid said: “I don’t really care. I think they’re all losers.”

On the Democratic side, Mr. Reid said he likes former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton “very much.”

“I talked to her husband yesterday…I love the way he ends his conversations with me and they’re so sincere,” he said. “’Harry, I love you.’ That’s what he says every time.”

Mr. Reid, who recently announced he will not be running for re-election in 2016, said he’s “not a big fan of primaries.”

“I don’t think they help, especially when you’re someone as noted as Hillary,” he said.

Asked if he would advise Vice President Joseph R. Biden not to challenge her, Mr. Reid said it’s up to Mr. Biden and that he can make his decision on his own.
