Comedian Joan Rivers, who passed away Thursday, will be making an appearance in a new season of “Celebrity Apprentice,” the show’s host Donald Trump has revealed.
“We just finished shooting a new season of Celebrity Apprentice and happily for all, Joan plays my advisor in two episodes,” Mr. Trump tweeted Sunday. “She was great!”
Ms. Rivers won the first season of Mr. Trump’s celebrity game show.
NBC hasn’t released an official start date for the show’s new season, Mediaite reported.
Ms. Rivers died last week due to complications resulting from a surgical procedure on her vocal chords. She was 81.
Mr. Trump attended her funeral on Sunday while tweeting her praises.
“I will be going to the funeral of my friend Joan Rivers today. I got to know her really well when she became the winner of The Apprentice!” he wrote. “Joan Rivers had great talent, but also truly amazing stamina and drive — she would never give up or quit. That is why she became a champion!”
