Former California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger — also of Hollywood and body-building fame — unveiled a massive portrait of a younger version of himself during a Capitol event in Sacramento on Monday.

The portrait, which stands more than 6 feet high, is 1,000 square inches bigger than the one of former Gov. Gray Davis, the Los Angeles Times reported.

The size fit the general theme of the event.

Californians “refuse to think small,” Mr. Schwarzenegger said, the Los Angeles Times reported. “We were never afraid to dream big. It is in our DNA as Californians.”

The artist was Austrian-born Gottfried Helnwein, who called the former governor “larger than life,” the Los Angeles Times reported.

The portrait, which depicts a smiling Mr. Schwarzenegger against an image of the governor’s seal, was described by those in attendance as “regal” and “huge,” the newspaper reported.

Mr. Schwarzenegger reportedly paid for the portrait from his own money.
