GREAT FALLS, Mont. (AP) — Federal officials continue to investigate a plane crash about 30 miles southeast of Great Falls that killed a woman and injured three other people.

Cascade County Sheriff Bob Edwards said the crash resulted in a “pretty intense fire” and one of the injured was flown to a burn center in Salt Lake City while the other two remained hospitalized in Great Falls.

Edwards did not release the name of the victim Wednesday because not all of her family members had been notified.

Holman Aviation financial officer Roxann Tveter tells the Great Falls Tribune (https://gftrib.com/1qqR3Oc ) the plane was based at the Holman facility. The Cessna 177 took off from Great Falls International Airport at about 1 p.m. Tuesday and crashed in the Little Belt Mountains near the King’s Hill Winter Recreation Area parking lot.

The National Transportation Safety Board and Federal Aviation Administration are investigating.
