Twelve staffers at a New York psychiatric center suffered injuries — including two who had to be taken to the hospital for head wounds — when inmates suddenly grabbed kitchen tools and went on attack.

Authorities say five or six inmates at Central New York Psychiatric Center in Marcy first grabbed tools in the kitchen and unleashed an attack on staffers, the Daily Mail reported. Shortly after, a similar fight started between inmates and staff on the floor above the kitchen.

Law enforcement from outside the facility had to be called to restore order, the Daily Mail said.

Nobody’s been arrested, though police are investigating. Few other details of the incident were released.
