OPINION:
Have Virginians had enough of Obamacare and Sen. Mark R. Warner? According to recent, disturbing news, Obamacare is about to hit Virginians very hard once again, with 250,000 Virginians about to lose their health insurance thanks to it.
Mr. Warner didn’t act in the best interest for Virginians when he voted for Obamacare. In 2010, he used YouTube to promise Virginians that he was “not going to support a health care reform plan that’s going to take away health care that you’ve got right now or a health plan that you like.”
Mr. Warner is practically attached to the hips of President Obama and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid. Mr. Warner has voted with the president 97 percent of the time since entering the Senate in 2009. Do Virginians want a senator who goes along to get along by voting at the command of Mr. Obama and Mr. Reid?
Ed Gillespie is the Republican candidate working to oust Mr. Warner from the U.S. Senate. Mr. Gillespie wants to replace Obamacare with consumer-driven, business-friendly health insurance plans.
I already know what Mr. Warner has done to Virginia, and our family can’t afford more of the same. I’m willing to place my trust in Mr. Gillespie by voting for him on Nov. 4.
We, the people, vote. The power rests with us.
