A women’s advocacy group has taken its fight against NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell to the skies, flying a #GoodellMustGo banner above MetLife Stadium in New Jersey before the Giants kicked off against the Cardinals.
The banner by UltraViolet was the first of four that will fly over stadiums in four different cities. Planes will also fly the banners above stadiums in Cleveland and San Francisco, along with one ahead of the Monday night game at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Bloomberg reported.
Ultraviolet and the National Organization of Women have called on Mr. Goodell to resign after reports that the NFL knew video existed that showed former Baltimore Ravens running back Mr. Rice punching his then-fiancee and knocking her unconscious, Bloomberg reported. Mr. Goodell has said nobody in the NFL saw the video until last week.
