The design for a new home slated for a seaside cliff on the Australian southwest coast is not for the fainthearted.

So far it only exists as a concept, but the design for the Cliff House by Australian architectural firm Modscape shows the home anchored to the side of a cliff overlooking a steep drop to the ocean below, BBC reported.

The Cliff House features three bedrooms, a living room, a carport, separate bathroom and an open-air spa and barbecue area on the bottom floor.

“A concept was developed for a modular home to hang off the side of a cliff as opposed to sitting on top of it,” the designers explain. “The home is visualized as a natural extension of the cliff face rather than an addition to the landscape, creating an absolute connection with the ocean.”

Inspired by the way barnacles cling to a ship’s hull, leading architect Maxwell Hutchinson said there’s no reason why the design shouldn’t be structurally sound. Cantilever beams drilled into the rock could support the building just as crampons support a climber, BBC reported.

Mr. Hutchinson warns that prospective buyers of the Cliff House would need very deep pockets and a “very, very strong stomach.”
