Let’s see if I have this right: British Prime minister David Cameron cut short his vacation last month and returned to London to deal with the Islamic State’s barbaric beheading of American journalist James Foley. By contrast our own president took a few minutes to give his standard ’Bring to justice, hold accountable’ speech, with a new twist: we are now standing alongside others to fight the Islamic State (whatever that means). Then he took ’strong action’ by continuing to play golf.

I have two words of advice for President Obama: carpet bombing. Collateral damage be dammed.
