Tony Stark fans can rejoice — Robert Downey Jr. confirmed during a Thursday appearance on “Ellen” that “Iron Man 4” will happen.

When asked about the future of Marvel’s highly successful Iron Man franchise, the actor said “I know there’s going to be a bunch more Marvel movies and they have big ideas of how to do it best, and we’re in the middle of negotiations.”

Ellen DeGeneres quickly asked, “So, yes?”

“Okay, yes!” the actor replied, which prompted applause and cheers from the audience.

Mr. Downey’s next appearance as Iron Man will be for Marvel’s “Avengers: Age of Ultron,” which opens May 1, 2015. The first Avengers film made more than $1.5 billion worldwide.
