Left tackle Trent Williams had a day off from practice Wednesday because of a sore knee. Williams injured his kneecap Week 4 against the New York Giants. He played through the pain Monday night against the Seahawks.
“He’s still sore,” coach Jay Gruden said. “There’s always a chance (he will play Sunday). He went last week. He came out of the game pretty well. He was a little bit sore.”
Cornerback Tracy Porter is still dealing with a hamstring injury that has caused stops-and-starts during his season.
“I made it through the (New York Giants) game and then I woke up with a real soreness,” Porter said. “I kind of re-aggravated it a bit. I mean, I didn’t feel any specific thing at any point. I just got up the next morning and it was sore.”
Working his way through footwork drills on the side, was injured quarterback Robert Griffin III. Gruden cautioned that Griffin is still far from returning, saying he will need to run, then at least a week or two of full practice before he can return. But, he worked rapidly through the drills Wednesday.
