Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Sunday that Israel will do whatever it can to participate in the coalition to defeat the Islamic State.

“We are ready to support and help in every way that we’re asked, but these are things we don’t discuss necessarily on TV,” he said on “Face the Nation,” declining to go into details about the type of assistance Israel might provide.

He said that the Islamic State, also known as ISIS, “absolutely” poses a threat to Israel and has got to be defeated. He also likened the terrorist group to others in the region who pose a threat to Israel.

“The difference between ISIS and Hamas and ISIS and Iran and so on is they all agree that the world should be an Islamist hill, but they all want to be, each of them wants to be the king of the hill,” he said.
