COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - The South Carolina Museum is giving folks a chance to view the night sky up close.

If weather permits, the Museum and the Midlands Astronomy Club are sponsoring a sky viewing party on Saturday night in Columbia.

During the free gathering, attendees will be able to look through telescopes to see the moon, the planets and the stars.

The event is being held at the Hunter-Gatherer Brewery & Ale House on Main Street in Columbia.
