A North Carolina girl, 8, obviously fed up with hate-based politics and negative campaigning took to pen and paper to vent her frustrations and fired off a letter to her state’s two Senate candidates telling them, basically, to play nice.

“Why aren’t you talking about ways that you will help us? All I hear is your ads where you say mean things about each other,” Raleigh third-grader Carson Park wrote to both Democratic Sen. Kay Hagan and Republican challenger, House Speaker Thom Tillis, CNN reported.

Carson then told WTVD that “you don’t know what they’re really like.”

The two candidates are in a tight battle, and polls suggest they face one of the most competitive races in the nation.

Spending has hit $100 million, and it is the most expensive Senate race this cycle.
