CASTLE ROCK, Colo.— Jeb Bush is taking a jab at Hillary Clinton in a possible preview of the 2016 presidential race.
Mr. Bush was in Colorado on Wednesday campaigning for Republican candidates when he mentioned Clinton’s statement last week that businesses don’t create jobs.
Mrs. Clinton later said that was a slip of the tongue, but Mr. Bush still went after her at an evening rally of GOP activists in the conservative Denver suburb of Castle Rock. Without mentioning Clinton by name, Bush called her statement “breathtaking.”
The brother of President George W. Bush and former Florida governor is considering a presidential run in 2016, and Colorado will be key to any presidential race.
Mrs. Clinton was in the state last week to stump for Democrats, and her husband Bill Clinton was in Colorado on Tuesday.
