First, country star. Then, pop sensation. Now, Taylor Swift has a new role — as ambassador of New York City.

She’s joined forces with NYC & Co., the city’s official marketing and tourism organization, and assumed the formal title of New York City’s Global Welcome Ambassador for 2014-2015, Financial Express reported.

And as part of the campaign, she’s launched a “Welcome to New York” tour mantra, aptly named after the song on her just-released 1989 album, “Welcome to New York.” Her basic message: Come to New York City and explore its five boroughs.

“New York City is a truly welcoming city, and ’Welcome to New York’ perfectly exemplifies the unrivaled hospitality, energy and excitement that can be felt throughout all five boroughs,” said Fred Dixon, the president and CEO of NYC & Co., Financial Express reported. “We are pleased to work with Taylor Swift to welcome visitors from around the world, as she was welcomed this year, and couldn’t have asked for a better synergy between Taylor and NYC & Company to tell our story about what makes New York City, New York City.”

As part of the campaign, Ms. Swift will provide videos and other forms of content to share her stories and experiences with New York City.
